Eugene Jean François of Savoy-Carignan, (September 23, 1714 – Mannheim, November 23, 1734), was the 34th and last Count of Soissons.
He was the only son of Emmanuel Thomas, Count of Soissons and Princess Maria Theresia of Liechtenstein.
He became Count of Soissons and Duke of Troppau when his father died in 1729.
Like his father, he became a Knight in the Austrian Order of the Golden Fleece in 1731.
He married by proxy on November 10 1734 with Maria Teresa Cybo-Malaspina, Duchess of Massa (1725-1790), princess of Carrara.
He died 13 days later, and the marriage was annulled on the basis that it had never been consummated. Maria Theresa would later marry Ercole III d'Este, Duke of Modena.
With his death, the title of Count of Soissons became extinct and was returned to the French crown.
The title of Duke of Troppau returned to his mother, who passed on her estates to Franz Joseph I, Prince of Liechtenstein, when she died in 1772.
